On Wednesday night, Tigers right-hander Max Scherzer was named the 2013 AL Cy Young Award winner. He was very deserving regardless of whether you prefer old school (21-3) or new school (6.7 WAR) stats. After receiving the award, Scherzer set out to party and party hard:

I dig the humility. Scherzer could have prepped for his celebration party weeks ago, but instead he waited until the night of the announcement out of respect for the competition. Either that or he didn't want to jinx it. Or maybe he just forgot to hit the store over the weekend. Who knows.
