The Red Sox have bolstered the bullpen by agreeing to terms with right-hander Edward Mujica,'s Jon Heyman has confirmed, at two years and $9.5 million, pending a physical. The deal was first reported by Jeff Passan of Yahoo!.

Last season, Mujica with the Cardinals posted a 2.78 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and stellar 9.20 K/BB in 64 2/3 innings of work. Mujica walked just four batters unintentionally in 2013. With that said, he pitched sparingly and ineffectively down the stretch because of fatigue.

For his career, Mujica owns a 104 ERA+ across 381 games, 377 of which have been relief appearances.
