Back in the day, the AOL "you've got mail!" jingle was pretty much the coolest thing ever. It made you feel important. Someone took the time to send you an electronic mail and AOL was kind enough to let you know as soon as you dialed up and got online. What a world that was.
These days, "you've got mail!" might as well refer to snail mail. It's a relic, made for an age when everyone didn't have the internet and their email at their fingertips 24/7. And yet, this happened at Winter Meetings on Wednesday:
