I have a confession: I have never seen the movie Major League. Not in its entirety, anyway. I've seen bits and pieces here and there, but never the whole thing from start to finish. I do know the story and the characters and all that, so seeing the entire film is just a formality.
Since I've never seen the movie, I've also never seen the alternate ending. At least not until now. In that alternative ending, it becomes apparent team owner Rachel Phelps invented the Moneyball philosophy long before Billy Beane and Michael Lewis. Observe:
"They all have flaws that concealed their real talent, or I wouldn't have been able to afford them."
How about that?
