Big league players get fan mail all the time, even the guys who are something less than superstars. It comes with the territory. Some fans will ask for autographs or offer words of encouragement, others will slander or deride players. Again, it comes with the territory.
Right-hander Pat Neshek has been in the big leagues for parts of seven seasons now, and he's pretty well-traveled. He's suited up for the Twins, Padres and Athletics in those seven seasons, and he's been pretty effective almost everywhere: career 3.07 ERA (135 ERA+) and 1.13 WHIP.
Between his pitching and his writing, Neshek probably has a good amount of fans out there. Enough that he doesn't just get fan mail, he gets fan mail asking for (unsigned!) bats even though he's a pitcher:

Needless to say, Neshek has to send the kid a signed card now.
