This much is clear: Alex Rodriguez will not be playing Major League Baseball in 2014. But as the legal wrangling continues, details are emerging as to what A-Rod's drug program consisted of and how much he took.

Turns out, it was a lot.

According to U.S. Anti-Doping Agency CEO Travis Tygart, it was "probably the most potent and sophisticated drug program developed for an athlete that we've ever seen," Tygart told Associated Press columnist Jim Litke.

"No one who cares about clean sports likes to hear it. And don't just take my word for it. Look at the findings of an independent arbitrator who saw all the evidence, sat through the testimony and laid the whole conspiracy out."

The regimen, formulated and overseen by Anthony Bosch, included numerous blood tests, testosterone supplements, and human growth hormone, according to the AP. In all, it was plentiful, Tygart said, and designed specifically to keep A-Rod from getting caught.

"At the end of the day," Tygart told Litke, "this was a potent cocktail of sophisticated PEDs stacked together to deliver power, aid recovery, avoid detection and create a home run champion."
