Nugget of the day: Jim Thome followed Roy Hobbs

This is the time of year when many teams hold some sort of convention for fans, often times with a "fest" in there with the team name, somehow. For example, the Indians are holding Tribe Fest this weekend. While at the festivities, future Hall of Famer Jim Thome revealed an outstanding little factoid to MLB.com reporter Jordan Bastian:

That's awesome in so many ways. I believe I found the bat point here, at the 54-second mark:

Just for fun, here's Thome smashing a 511-foot homer, believed to be the longest in franchise history:

Thome ranks seventh in MLB history with 612 homers. Then again, he never shattered a light with a walkoff bomb, now, did he?
