It's not actual baseball, but it's something: Veteran analyst/number-cruncher Clay Davenport has released an early version of his projected standings for the 2014 season.

Click through to see how all 30 teams forecast according to Davenport's methods, but here's a quick run-down of his projected playoff teams for 2014 ...

AL East: Rays
AL Central: Tigers
AL West: Athletics
AL wild cards: Rangers, Red Sox

NL East: Nationals
NL Central: Cardinals
NL West: Dodgers
NL wild cards: Giants, Braves

It of course bears mentioning that the offseason is not yet over, and moves are no doubt yet to be made, just as spring injuries are yet to occur. Still, this looks like a thoroughly plausible early take on things.

Again, give Clay a click in order to see each team's projected record, runs scored and runs allowed. Also, the projected worst team in baseball might surprise you.
