Like any number of non-PGA professional athletes with large muscles and cocksure bearing, Nationals wunderkind Bryce Harper enjoys addressing a golf ball and then, in a towering act of sports violence, smiting said golf ball for long distances. Regarding this pursuit, it so happens that over the weekend young Mr. Harper occupied his attentions and leisure time by striking a golf ball roughly 20.2 percent of a mile with a single swing.

Lookit:

That comes to us courtesy of Nats Enquirer, and, yes, it appears to be at least "soft" evidence that Bryce Harper drove the ball 356 yards. Excelsior!

His next challenge is to do as Jim Rice has done and contrive to hit a golf ball almost 500 yards on an airport runway.
