The Brewers have agreed to sign right-hander Francisco Rodriguez to a one-year contract, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com has confirmed. Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish first reported the agreement. The deal is worth $3.25 million with another $550,000 in incentives.
K-Rod, 32, has now signed a one-year deal with the Brewers in each of the last three offseasons. Last summer he posted a 2.70 ERA (152 ERA+) with 54 strikeouts and 14 walks in 46 2/3 innings for Milwaukee and the Orioles.
Jim Henderson figures to again serve as the team's closer, so Rodriguez will join Brandon Kintzler to form manager Ron Roenicke's primary setup crew.
