Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax was hit in the head by a line drive off the bat of Andre Ethier at Dodgers' camp on Friday. MLB.com's Ken Gurnick says Koufax remained on his feet but did suffer a cut.

Here's a photo of Koufax being carted away:

Hernandez says Koufax was conscious and smiling as the trainers took him inside for medical attention. The Dodgers have not yet released any other information.

Koufax, 78, is a regular at Dodgers' spring training after spending his entire 12-year playing career with the organization. The seems like he avoided a major injury but a ball to the head is always scary. We wish him the best as we await an official update.
