Angels starting pitcher C.J. Wilson was throwing live batting practice Tuesday when he was struck by a baseball on the left side of his head, the club announced. Wilson did walk off the field under his own power and is having some precautionary tests done.
No further details are available at this time. Oh, except that Wilson himself says he's fine and shows his sense of humor is fully intact:
Everything is fine, except that pitch I threw. Shoulda caught it. Thanks for the #PMA - lesson is to not pitch to contact! Haha— C.J. Wilson (@str8edgeracer) February 25, 2014
