The sound of the ball off Carlos Correa's bat is beautiful to behold

By Dayn Perry | Baseball Writer

MORE: Spring Training | FA tracker: position players | FA tracker: pitchers

It is a matter of verifiable and scientific fact that when Astros top prospect Carlos Correa recently smote the double you're about to witness, every scout everywhere, alive or dead, looked up from his notes and uttered a never-before-heard curse word of profound cherishing. That is to say, you're about to hear the sound that has done more to rouse spring from its slumber than a legion of unseen groundhog shadows.

Please do witness the power and the glory, and praise be to Evan Drellich for bringing it to us ...

That sound, that sound right there: Hang it in the Louvre or let there be no Louvre.
