One of the last things the Blue Jays wanted to worry about the week before the start of the season was shortstop Jose Reyes, particularly his legs. He was pulled from Saturday's spring training game with left hamstring discomfort and is going for an MRI today.

Reyes, 30, only played 93 games last year because of an ankle problem, but he has a history of hamstring injuries. He has dealt with strains to both legs dating all the way back to 2003 and was most recently bothered in 2011. A severe strain limited him to only 36 games in 2009.

As a player whose game revolves around speed, any injury to the leg is a big concern, especially when he has a history of hamstring problems. Maybe the MRI will come back clean, but until it does, the Blue Jays are probably feeling a bit nervous.

In those 93 games last season, Reyes hit .296/.353/.427 (113 OPS+) with 10 home runs and 15 stolen bases. He is owed $86 million through 2018.
