UPDATE: The Jays have announced that they've placed Reyes on the 15-day DL with hamstring tightness.

Blue Jays shortstop Jose Reyes left Monday's season-opener against the Rays in the first inning with what was later announced as a hamstring problem. He flew out to center field to lead off the game and did not come out to play in the field in the bottom of the first.
Reyes, 30, battled hamstring trouble at the end of spring training and was questionable for Opening Day. He has a history of hamstring problems as well, which is a concern. Replays showed him running fine down to first on the fly ball, for what it's worth.
In 93 games for Toronto last season, Reyes hit .296/.353/.427 with 10 home runs and 15 stolen bases. He missed more than two months with an ankle injured suffered sliding into second base.
