After just two appearances, Dodgers setup man Brian Wilson has been forced to the 15-day disabled list with nerve irritation in his elbow, the club told reporters Tuesday night (such as Dylan Hernandez).

There no word as to the severity just yet, but there has to be concern with Wilson having an elbow issue. Remember, the Tommy John surgery that ended his 2012 season was the second of his life. This isn't to say that the nerve issue now is related, because it could be a total coincidence. I'm just noting that it's concerning to see anything with his surgically-repaired elbow.

Wilson had a spotless outing in Australia, striking out two in a perfect 1-2-3 inning. His stateside 2014 debut, though, was pretty terrible. He coughed up three runs on two hits and a walk, picking up the blown save.

Wilson signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Dodgers this past offseason to be the setup man for Kenley Jansen. Expect Chris Perez to be the primary setup man in Wilson's absence.
