White Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia was lifted from Wednesday's game against the Rockies with a jammed left shoulder after attempting a diving catch. The play occurred in the sixth inning on a shallow liner off the bat of D.J. LeMahieu. Here's how Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago describes it:

The White Sox outfielder stayed on the ground for several minutes before he walked off the field on his own with Sox trainer Herm Schneider at his side. Garcia appeared to be holding his left side in place.

As Daryl Van Schouwen later tweeted, X-rays were negative for any fracture, separation or dislocation. Garcia will be further evaluated back in Chicago on Thursday.

The 22-year-old Garcia, who was acquired from the Tigers as part of the three-team deal last July that landed Jake Peavy in Boston and Jose Iglesias in Detroit, is one of the White Sox's most gifted young talents. He owns a batting line of .288/.320/.413 (96 OPS+) across parts of three big-league seasons.
