RUMORS, SPECULATION, NEWS, ETC.

- Joel Hanrahan: The free agent reliever, who's working his way back from Tommy John surgery, will hold a showcase for interested teams next week. ESPN's Jerry Crasnick names the Yankees, Mets, Angels, Rangers, Rockies, Royals, Red Sox, Athletics and Rays as teams who may have interest.

- Rays: Lefty Cesar Ramos will exit the bullpen in order to make the start Sunday for the Rays. In essence, he's taking the rotation spot of the injured Matt Moore (see below). To replace Ramos in the bullpen, the Rays will likely recall Erik Bedard. (Marc Topkin via Twitter)

INJURY UPDATES

- Braves: SS Andrelton Simmons (jammed right wrist) was scratched from Friday night's lineup.

- Cubs: RHP Jake Arrieta (shoulder) will need at least one more minor-league rehab start before he rejoins the rotation (Carrie Muskat via Twitter)

- Orioles: SS J.J. Hardy has missed the last six games with back spasms, but he hopes to be back in the lineup on Saturday. (Eduardo A. Encina via Twitter)

- Phillies: RHP A.J. Burnett, after showing no command against the Marlins on Friday night, left his start in the fifth inning because of groin soreness ... RHP Mike Adams (shoulder) could rejoin the bullpen on Monday. (Todd Zolecki, MLB.com) ... INF Freddy Galvis (staph infection) has been activated from the DL.

- Rays: LHP Matt Moore, who's been diagnosed with a partially torn UCL, is hoping to avoid Tommy John surgery and plans to test his elbow by playing catch in three to five days.

- Reds: CL Aroldis Chapman, who's been sidelined since being struck in the face by a line drive late in spring training, is slated to throw a bullpen session on Monday.

- Royals: 2B Omar Infante was back in the lineup on Friday after being struck in the face by a Heath Bell pitch on Monday.

- Twins: Have placed OF Josh Willingham on the DL with a sore wrist. Willingam was struck on the left wrist by a pitch on Sunday. X-rays were negative. The move was made retroactively, so Willingham will be eligible to return to the roster in about a week.
