Indians center fielder Michael Bourn was activated from the 15-day disabled Tuesday, the club announced. As a corresponding move, Nyjer Morgan was optioned to Triple-A Columbus.

Bourn, 31, injured his hamstring in spring training and has yet to take part in the 2014 regular season. It's the second consecutive April that he spent time on the DL, as last April he suffered a lacerated finger that prevented him from swinging the bat.

Bourn hit .263/.316/.360 (92 OPS+) with 21 doubles, six triples, six homers, 50 RBI, 75 runs and 23 stolen bases last season for the Indians. He signed a four-year, $48 million contract prior to the 2013 season.

With Bourn back, expect him to take back over in center on a regular basis while Michael Brantley plays left and David Murphy is the main right fielder. Ryan Raburn should also see some at-bats in that mix.

The Indians were scheduled to play Tuesday night against the Tigers, but it's been postponed due to inclement weather.
