The Angels are already without Josh Hamilton for the next several weeks, and now fellow outfielder Kole Calhoun has hit the 15-day disabled list with a twisted right ankle.

Calhoun sustained the injury while running to first base in extra innings against the Athletics on Tuesday night. Here's the play in question:

Calhoun had to be helped off the field, and, as MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez writes, he was on crutches after the game.

This is a blow for the Angels, as the 26-year-old Calhoun, who has a strong minor-league track record, was coming off a quality 2013 season for the Angels and slugging .500 in the early going this year.
