Cardinals right-hander Joe Kelly was forced to leave his Wednesday start against the Brewers with what appears to be a left hamstring injury. Kelly sustained the injury while trying to leg out a bunt in the road half of the fifth. He limped off the field and was replaced in the bottom half of the inning by reliever Seth Maness.

Kelly, age 25, is coming off an outstanding 2013 season in which he pitched to a 2.69 ERA in 37 games, 15 of which were starts. This season, the Cardinals' fifth starter has an ERA of 0.59 through three starts, including Wednesday's.
