File under: "Sub-morons of the spectator-sports world." According to the San Francisco Chronicle, someone at Wednesday night's Dodgers-Giants game in San Francisco lit and tossed a large firecracker -- apparently an M-80 -- into a crowd standing on one of the AT&T Park concourses. At least five people sustained minor injuries, including temporary hearing loss in some instances.

More from the Chronicle:

"A number of people were screaming and running from the area," said Officer Gordon Shyy, a San Francisco police spokesman.

...

Giants security officers detained San Bruno resident Paolo Pavone, 21, who was booked by police on suspicion of willfully discharging and possessing an explosive and discharging a firework in a public place.

The perpetrator is quite fortunate he didn't seriously injure or kill someone, as M-80s -- if indeed that's what this was -- are pretty powerful as consumer fireworks go.

On a more general level, try just watching the game and not being a sociopath.
