Angels' David Freese has broken finger, placed on DL

On Saturday, Freese was diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture of his right middle finger. Hours later, the Angels placed him on the 15-day disabled list.

This season, the 31-year-old Freese is batting .202/.266/.286 with two home runs in 24 games. For his career, the 2011 NLCS and World Series MVP owns an OPS+ of 112 across parts of six major-league seasons.
