Aramis Ramirez is DL-bound with hamstring strain

Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez had to leave Saturday night's game against the Yankees with an obvious hamstring injury and now, unsurprisingly, he's facing a stint on the disabled list. Per MLB.com, club officials are discussing the possibility that Ryan Braun might return when Ramirez is placed on the DL prior to Tuesday's game.

If Braun isn't yet ready to return from his oblique injury, Elian Herrera will get the call.

Ramirez, 35, is hitting .252/.309/.390 with five homers and 21 RBI this season. He was held to just 92 games last season due mostly to knee issues.

The Brewers entered Sunday having lost seven of their last 10 games but still held a five-game lead in the NL Central.
