Brewers slugger Ryan Braun may be back in the lineup on Tuesday against the Pirates. Braun has been sidelined since April 26 because of an oblique injury. However, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel tweets that Braun, as long he suffers no unexpected setback in the interim, will be activated from the DL on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old five-time All-Star is off to a hot start in 2014: .318/.361/.591 with six homers in 22 games. Braun for his career owns an OPS+ of 147 across parts of eight seasons. Among active players with at least 3,000 plate appearances, only Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera and Joey Votto best his mark.

Braun is of course coming off a 2013 season in which he served a lengthy suspension for his role in the Biogenesis PED scandal.
