Angels: GM Jerry Dipoto said the team will remain patient with struggling DH Raul Ibanez. "He has done this before. He has gone through cold spells, and he has gotten hot. There's nobody here who believes Raul has had his last good days in the big leagues," said the GM. (MLB.com)
Marlins: Signed IF Miguel Tejada to a minor league contract. He is currently serving a 105-game suspension after testing positive for an amphetamine and will not be eligible to play at the MLB level until June 10.
Braves: LHP Jonny Venters (Tommy John surgery) had a live batting practice session cut short due to soreness last week, but he hopes to resume throwing soon after visiting the doctor (Atlanta Journal Constitution) ... White Sox: LHP Chris Sale (elbow) will throw a bullpen session on Tuesday. The team has not yet decided when he will rejoin the rotation (CSN Chicago) ... An MRI showed only inflammation in 1B Jose Abreu's ankle. There is no structural damage ... RHP Matt Lindstrom left Monday's game with an apparent ankle injury after trying to field a bunt. There has been no update on his status.
