Remember when Orioles thumper Chris Davis wasn't hitting for power? He entered Tuesday night with a 2014 SLG of .365 and just three homers to his credit. Well, after the evening's contest against the Pirates (a 9-2 victory for Baltimore) you can double that home run total. Yes, for the second time in his career, Davis has hit three homers in a game.

His first came off starter Francisco Liriano in the fifth, and then he hit a blast off reliever Jared Hughes in the seventh. Here's his final clout of the night, this one off Jeanmar Gomez ...

That's the first time someone's tallied three spanks in a game in pitcher-friendly PNC Park since Andrew McCutchen pulled it off in August 2009.

For his efforts, Davis is now batting a slightly more characteristic .257/.376/.468.
