Giants outfielder Hunter Pence is not one for driving, at least not in San Francisco. He rides a customized electric scooter to the ballpark for home games and around town in general. On Sunday night, someone stole Pence's scooter:
Ahhhh someone stole my scooter! :(— Hunter Pence (@hunterpence) May 26, 2014
According to Andrew Baggarly of CSN Bay Area, Pence was out at dinner when the scooter was stolen. He parked it by the chef's door and someone rode away with it. Pence rode an older scooter to the park on Monday, though the battery was just about dead.
Apparently Pence is attached to the stolen scooter, so rather than go out and buy a new one -- he did just sign a five-year, $90 million contract over the winter -- he is offering a reward to whoever returns the stolen scooter:
Hunter Pence is formally offering a signed Pence bobblehead (riding his scooter) for the return of his stolen scooter. "I'll forgive you."— Andrew Baggarly (@CSNBaggs) May 26, 2014
The bobblehead is actually pretty awesome too. Still, definitely not cool stealing a guy's scooter, or stealing anything for that matter. Hopefully someone returns it.
