The Cleveland Indians lost two regular starters to the disabled list in a series of roster moves Tuesday. First baseman Nick Swisher has been placed on the 15-day DL due to a left knee hyperextension and third baseman/catcher Carlos Santana was placed on the seven-day concussion DL.

Infielder Jesus Aguilar and catcher George Kottaras has joined the club from Triple-A Columbus.

With both Santana and Swisher on the shelf, Aguilar is probably the best bet to get regular playing time at first base with Jason Giambi or Ryan Raburn options at DH. Lonnie Chisenhall should see extra playing time at third base, too, though things already seemed to be trending that way.

The Indians have now lost two straight after a stretch where they won five of six games.
