Major League Baseball released the second update of the American League All-Star Game fan voting on Monday, and there are three major changes:

  1. Robinson Cano has jumped over Ian Kinsler to take over first place at second base.
  2. Nelson Cruz has jumped over David Ortiz to take the lead at DH.
  3. Melky Cabrera has jumped over Jacoby Ellsbury for the final outfield spot.

All of the other positions remained the same. Here's the voting leaders at the moment:

The full voting results are right here. Derek Jeter will be in his final All-Star Game. I think he could go 0-for-June and still get voted into the game.

Cruz currently leads all of baseball with 20 home runs and 52 RBI. Both he and Melky have performance-enhancing drug suspensions in their recent past, so it appears fans generally don't care about PED issues. Or at least the majority do not.
