Major League Baseball released the second update of the American League All-Star Game fan voting on Monday, and there are three major changes:
- Robinson Cano has jumped over Ian Kinsler to take over first place at second base.
- Nelson Cruz has jumped over David Ortiz to take the lead at DH.
- Melky Cabrera has jumped over Jacoby Ellsbury for the final outfield spot.
All of the other positions remained the same. Here's the voting leaders at the moment:
Cruz currently leads all of baseball with 20 home runs and 52 RBI. Both he and Melky have performance-enhancing drug suspensions in their recent past, so it appears fans generally don't care about PED issues. Or at least the majority do not.
