On the season, the 25-year-old is batting .180/.271/.273 in 145 plate appearances. Not long ago, d'Arnaud returned to action after missing more than two weeks with post-concussion symptoms. To take d'Arnaud's spot on the active roster, the Mets have recalled catcher Taylor Teagarden.
Coming into the 2014 season, d'Arnaud was ranked as the No. 22 overall prospect by MLB.com. The Mets originally acquired him as part of the R.A. Dickey trade with the Blue Jays in December of 2012.
