On Saturday night, White Sox ace Chris Sale entered the eighth inning of his start against the Angels staked to a 5-0 lead. He soon ran into trouble, though, and Mike Trout stepped to the dish representing the tying run. Here's what happened next ...

Woofity woof. That's a changeup low and away from a changeup artist, and Trout was still able to bomb it to the pull-side of center field. Incredible piece of hitting, that.

Anyhow, Mr. Sale, no doubt frustrated not only by giving up that substantial lead but also by being taken long by Trout, made his way calmly to the visitor's dugout after being lifted and then -- sense of calm still intact -- undertook a familiar ritual of replenishment with the help of a teammate's bat ...

You see, when Chris Sale is in the throes of disappointment, there is quite possibly a killer within.

In matters related, Trout and Angels went on to prevail by a score of 6-5.
