And the people say: gasp.

What you see above may be the Platonic ideal of the familiar declaration, "the ball jumps off his bat." As for the resulting impact zone, Ramirez's clout was likely somewhere between 460 and 475 feet, which, as it turns out, is a long way, at least insofar as well-struck baseballs are concerned.
