Mets starting pitcher and known futility expert at the plate Bartolo Colon doubled Wednesday afternoon. Just in case you don't believe me, here's the video proof:

Bartolo's "prowess" at home plate has been a bit of a punchline this season in his return to the National League. He entered the game 0-for-26 with one sacrifice and 17 strikeouts.

In his career, entering Wednesday, Colon was 10-for-122 (.082) with zero career extra-base hits and one run scored.

And wouldn't you know it, Colon came around to score his second career run on Eric Young Jr.'s double (watch on MLB.com). Team that with a pretty dominant outing on the hill in a 3-2 win and it was a banner day for the veteran.
