The Rays have placed outfielder David DeJesus on the disabled list with a fractured left hand. DeJesus suffered the injury while checking his swing during Wednesday's game. As Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times tweets, DeJesus will be in a cast for three weeks, but his time-table for a return isn't yet known.

This season, DeJesus, 34, has been one of the Rays' best hitters: 269/.367/.440 (128 OPS+). For his career, DeJesus owns an OPS+ of 106 across parts of 12 big-league seasons.

To take DeJesus's place on the active roster, the Rays have recalled outfielder Brandon Guyer.
