VIDEO: Bird hit by pitch in minor-league game

Though the bird didn't quite explode like it did famously on Randy Johnson's spring training pitch years ago, the following video definitely brings back that memory. Look for a good slow-motion shot at the 1:20 mark:

Jon Maciel was the pitcher here, for the West Michigan Whitecaps (Tigers Single A affiliate) against the bird and Josh Vanmeter of the Fort Wayne TinCaps (Padres Single A affiliate).

The game took place in Fort Wayne, which was also the sight of a sprinkler turning into a geyser earlier this season.
