The last roster spot for each All-Star team has been claimed. Major League Baseball announced that White Sox left-hander Chris Sale and Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo have won the Final Vote fan voting.

Sale beat out Tigers righty Rick Porcello, Astros lefty Dallas Keuchel, Angels righty Garrett Richards and Indians righty Corey Kluber. Rizzo beat out Braves outfielder Justin Upton, Rockies first baseman Justin Morneau, Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon and Marlins third baseman Casey McGehee.

In 14 starts and 95 innings this year, the 25-year-old Sale is 8-1 with an AL-leading 2.08 ERA. He should have been named to the All-Star Team outright, if you ask me. Sale will be heading to his third Midsummer Classic.

Rizzo, 24, came into Thursday hitting .280/.387/.512 (145 OPS+). He ranks second in the NL with 20 home runs. This will be his first All-Star Game.
