Thursday night brought us another Clayton Kershaw gem, though he lost his scoreless inning streak, along with one of baseball's most dubious pitching lines in history. We also saw two teams score at least 15 runs. Fun times.

Anyway, it's time for our nightly roundup. As a reminder, below is just a summary in quick-hitting form. For the full story, click on the links provided.

INJURY UPDATES

Cardinals: Yadier Molina is out eight to 12 weeks with a torn thumb ligament.

Dodgers: Josh Beckett is already playing catch as he hopes to return quickly from injury (Dodgers.com).

Red Sox: Shane Victorino began a rehab assignment Thursday night (boston.com).

Reds: Brandon Phillips is out six weeks, as he'll need surgery on his injured thumb. Also, Homer Bailey left his start Thursday with a knee injury, though he isn't expected to miss any time.

Twins: Joe Mauer isn't quite sure what his recovery timetable will be (Twins.com). Danny Santana will start a rehab assignment during the All-Star break (Twins.com).

Yankees: Masahiro Tanaka has a partially torn UCL, but won't be getting Tommy John surgery.

MISCELLANY

All-Star Game: Chris Sale and Anthony Rizzo won the Final Vote competition. Erick Aybar also joined the AL team as an injury replacment.

Home Run Derby: Josh Donaldson and Justin Morneau are the last two entrants.

Phillies: GM Ruben Amaro had no issues with Jonathan Papelbon's comments about how he'd rather be playing for a winning team (philly.com).
