Just before Sunday's contest between the Mets and Padres at Petco Park, Ms. McKee will become the oldest person ever to throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Via CBS Cleveland, here's her winning take on the whole thing ...

"I am very honored to do this. It's exciting and I hope I can get through it. I was really glad I got up this morning, I was afraid I wouldn't."

As the San Diego Union-Tribune notes, Ms. McKee will steady herself with her left hand on her walker and deliver the pitch underhanded with her right. Regardless what becomes of her first pitch, the attempt itself will easily be the most impressive thing to happen on the diamond this weekend.
