There will be no reconciliation for the former Bash Brothers. Jose Canseco accused Mark McGwire of using performance-enhancing drugs in his 2005 book Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant 'Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big, and the two have not been on friendly terms since.

"It's too late. I don't care to ever speak to him again," said McGwire to Mark Saxon of ESPN Los Angeles. "What he did was wrong ... I can care less what he does."

Canseco apologized to McGwire last weekend at the 25th anniversary celebration of the Athletics' 1989 World Championship team. Back in September 2012, Canseco showed up to Cardinals game wearing a T-shirt that read "Sorry for everything, Mark." McGwire was the hitting coach in St. Louis at the time.

"Mark, to me, when I played with him, I looked up to him," said Canseco to reporters last weekend. "I idolized him for a lot of reasons -- the guy was on the field, he was off the field. It haunts me til this day that I said those things about him, even though obviously they were true. I could have gone about it a different way and gotten my point across."

"I regret writing the book for sure," Canseco added. "I battled and fought with the thought of, 'I wish I never used chemicals or steroids.' But I don't see how back then when I was only 19, 20 years old, I didn't really know the situation."

Canseco said he has not had any contact with McGwire since the book came out almost a decade ago. McGwire eventually admitted to using PEDs during his playing career back in 2010.
