Just a few days until the trade deadline, so let's see what kind of rumor-filled goodness we have -- in addition to rounding up all the pertinent news from the day. As a reminder, click on the provided links for the full story, when applicable.

ROSTER MOVES

Blue Jays: Nolan Reimold was activated from the DL while Esmil Rogers was designated for assignment.

Dodgers: A day after he started an ugly brawl in Triple-A, infielder Erisbel Arruebarrena was sent down to Class A (Dodgers.com).

Reds: Jack Hannahan was activated from the DL and reliever Curtis Partch was optioned back to Triple-A.

REPORTS, RUMORS and SPECULATION

Blue Jays: The club is "monitoring" Asdrubal Cabrera, reports Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

Braves: The club is looking at left-handed reliever Andrew Miller, according to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com.

Dodgers: They have the goods to get Jon Lester, should the Red Sox decide to part with the free-agent-to-be, reports Heyman.

Mariners: Matt Kemp is a "backup plan" for the club, says Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports, but the interest in Kemp is "very real."

Pirates: They are interested in Rockies reliever LaTroy Hawkins, reports Thomas Harding of MLB.com.

Red Sox: Mike Carp told reporters that he asked general manager Ben Cherington for a trade (Redsox.com).

Alex Rios: The Mariners, Giants, Yankees and Reds are keeping an eye on Rios, per Rosenthal.

Yankees: Per Heyman, they are eyeing Josh Willingham and some rotation help -- including John Danks.

INJURY UPDATES

Athletics: Coco Crisp was sent back to the Bay Area (from Texas) Sunday to have his neck examined (MLB.com).

Brewers: Scooter Gennett didn't start due to a quad injury, but he was able to pinch hit Sunday (Brewers.com).

Giants: Angel Pagan is getting close to going on a rehab assignment (SFGiants.com)

Mariners: James Paxton threw 78 pitches in a Triple-A rehab start, so he may be back for Seattle pretty soon (MiLB.com box score).

Padres: Ian Kennedy has been scratched from his scheduled Monday start due to an oblique strain (UTSanDiego.com). Also, knee issues kept Carlos Quentin out of Sunday's lineup (UTSanDiego.com). In fact, Quentin will be placed on the DL Monday with Jedd Gyorko coming off the DL (Dennis Lin). Andrew Cashner threw a bullpen session and will throw at least one more before a rehab assignment (Padres.com).

Rockies: Troy Tulowitzki met with a Doctor in Philadelphia about his hip flexor strain (Rockies.com). He'll have a "dry needling procedure" Monday on his hip (Rockies.com).

Royals: Jason Vargas will throw a simulated game Thursday and could return to the rotation shortly thereafter (Royals.com).

Twins: Both Kyle Gibson and Phil Hughes have been cleared to make their next starts (Twins.com).

MISCELLANY

Astros: Some players were reportedly upset that Mark Appel was promoted and threw a bullpen session in Minute Maid Park.

Rusney Castillo: Baseball America has an excellent write up on the workout of the Cuban import.
