Legendary broadcaster Vin Scully will be calling games again for the club in 2015, marking his 66th season on the job. The Dodgers made the initial, official announcement over the public address system in Dodger Stadium Tuesday evening.

“It is very difficult to say goodbye,” said Scully in a statement. “God willing, I will be back next year. Over the years I have been blessed to have so many friends, including those that sit in the stands and listen, as well as those at home who listen and watch. It is just too hard to say goodbye to all these friends. Naturally there will come a time when I will have to say goodbye, but I've soul-searched and this is not the time.”

Scully, 86, doesn't leave the West coast these days, for the most part, but is still a treasure to those who get to see Dodgers broadcasts, with his background story-telling regarding player after player. He's been a Hall of Famer since 1982 and has a lifetime achievement Emmy Award.

Here's to at least one more year, Vin.
