The Halos acquired RHP Huston Street and RHP Jason Grilli in recent weeks.

With 40 minutes to go...
Source says Tigers appear to be front runner for Price.— Mark Feinsand (@FeinsandNYDN) July 31, 2014
UPDATE: 2:35 p.m.
Buckle up, folks:
#Rays "close" to trading Price, sources say. Destination still unclear.— Jayson Stark (@jaysonst) July 31, 2014
My complete guess of a prediction: the Dodgers.

|MARINERS get:||PADRES get:|

Tigers are NOT getting Andrew Miller— Gordon Edes (@GordonEdes) July 31, 2014
That doesn't mean he is staying put, of course.

The Brewers have added some outfield depth in a lower profile swap with the Diamondbacks:

Another update on Price from Heyman:
#pirates are talking to tampa bay about price. dodgers, mariners have been interested. never count out tigers tho.— Jon Heyman (@JonHeymanCBS) July 31, 2014
UPDATE: 2:00 p.m.
There is a bogus report out there saying OF Marlon Byrd has been traded to the Yankees.
Amid false accounts claiming the Yankees have traded for Marlon Byrd, one team official says simply: "Nope..didn't get him."— Lohud Yankees Blog (@LoHudYankees) July 31, 2014
This is the time of year for that stuff, unfortunately.
UPDATE: 1:58 p.m.
An update on Price, with the Dodgers emerging as the likely landing spot:
Heyman has some more. Stay tuned, obviously.
UPDATE: 1:50 p.m.
Teams have given up a lot to acquire proven starters over the last few weeks and the Reds may take advantage:
Not only are #Reds not buying. Other teams say they've dangled Mat Latos. Looking for big return of course— Jayson Stark (@jaysonst) July 31, 2014
No reason not to listen.
UPDATE: 1:45 p.m.
So this is a pretty big deal:
Been told #Rays are definitely moving Price— Joel Sherman (@Joelsherman1) July 31, 2014
The trade deadline is a little more than two hours away right now.
UPDATE: 1:27 p.m.
It appears OF Alex Rios may soon be on the move:
Source: Giants, Rangers in midst of ongoing trade conversations involving Alex Rios.— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) July 31, 2014
The Giants have been playing 1B/OF Mike Morse at first base in the wake of 1B Brandon Belt's concussion.
UPDATE: 1:19 p.m.

UPDATE: 1:16 p.m.
The Red Sox aren't done, folks. They're "getting close" to a deal with the Tigers involving LHP Andrew Miller, according to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports.
UPDATE: 1:10 p.m.
Boston had made their second big move of the day:
|CARDINALS get:||RED SOX get:|
|P John Lackey||P Joe Kelly|
OF Allen Craig
The Cardinals had reportedly soured on Craig during his down year, so the Red Sox bought low. Props to Boston for trading their guys for big leaguers and not obsessing over building the farm system.
UPDATE: 12:30 p.m.
The Red Sox are close to trading Lackey to an NL contender:
Sox close to deal for Lackey with NL team. Either Cardinals or Dodgers— Gordon Edes (@GordonEdes) July 31, 2014
So, one season after winning the World Series, Boston is in full tear-down mode. Crazy.
UPDATE: 12:25 p.m.
According to Heyman, the Royals, Giants, Mariners, Reds and Indians are among the teams looking at Rangers OF Alex Rios.
UPDATE: 12:15 p.m.
Well, this embarrassing. MLB Network was duped by a fake Twitter rumor:
As someone who has fallen victim to posting fake rumors, I know how embarrassing that is.
UPDATE: 12:10 p.m.
Even after trading Lester, the Red Sox are still discussing RHP John Lackey with several teams, according to Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe. He hears the likelihood of a trade is "70 percent." Bob Nightengale of USA Today says Boston is also getting a ton of calls on LHP Andrew Miller.
Meanwhile, Joel Sherman of the New York Post says Padres OF Chris Denorfia will be traded today, with the Royals and Braves the most likely landing spots.
UPDATE: 11:55 a.m.
Got a couple of updates from the NL West to pass along:
Rockies aren't ruling out trades for LaTroy Hawkins or Jorge De La Rosa, but neither appears likely to move as of this hour.— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) July 31, 2014
#Dbacks CEO Derrick Hall just said on KTAR that he would be "shocked" if team didn't make a move today.— Steve Gilbert (@SteveGilbertMLB) July 31, 2014
I really don't understand what the Rockies are doing.
UPDATE: 11:40 a.m.
In the wake of the Lester trade, interest in LHP David Price has intensified and a deal is looking more likely.
Source: David Price trade talks intensifying following the Jon Lester deal. Chances of Price trade have increased in last 12 hours.— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) July 31, 2014
The Pirates, Dodgers and Brewers were among the teams connected to Lester who could make a play for Price.
UPDATE: 11:25 a.m.
The Royals continue to fade out of the postseason picture, but that doesn't mean they will stand pat. They've been connected to a veteran starter with less than five hours to go before the deadline:
The escalating player option for 2015 in Burnett's contract figures to be an obstacle.
UPDATE: 11:20 a.m.
What about the Yankees and Mets? They surely the two New York teams have something cooking today, right? Well, kind of:
Source says Yankees working on small potential deals, but no big splashes expected today. Right field still seems to be the focus.— Mark Feinsand (@FeinsandNYDN) July 31, 2014
#Mets still checking on stuff, exec put it at no better than 25 percent they do something today— Joel Sherman (@Joelsherman1) July 31, 2014
The Yankees have already acquired Brandon McCarthy and Chase Headley, remember.
UPDATE: 11:15 a.m.
The Phillies have placed a very high price on OF Marlon Byrd, according to Heyman.
UPDATE: 11:10 a.m.
The Athletics have swung another trade, this one much smaller than the Lester/Cespedes blockbuster:
|TWINS get:||ATHLETICS get:|
|P Tommy Milone||OF Sam Fuld|
UPDATE: 10:50 a.m.
The last place Rangers have already traded away Joakim Soria and Jason Frasor. It doesn't sound like they are done either:
Expect #Rangers to be active today. Exec said this morning they were aggressively trying to move Rios, Cotts.— Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) July 31, 2014
Alex Rios would be a fit for a lot of teams in need of a right-handed hitting outfielder, like the Yankees, Royals and Giants, among others. Cotts, as a lefty reliever, would be a fit for any team in the league.
UPDATE: 10:25 a.m.
Think the Athletics are done after the Lester/Cespedes blockbuster? Maybe not:
#Athletics source: "We may not be finished."— Bill Shaikin (@BillShaikin) July 31, 2014
UPDATE: 10:20 a.m.
We have our first blockbuster of the day:
|ATHLETICS get:||RED SOX get:|
|P Jon Lester|
OF Jonny Gomes
|OF Yoenis Cespedes|
Competitive balance pick
UPDATE: 9:40 a.m.
Washington is currently without 3B Ryan Zimmerman following his hamstring strain and they're playing IF Anthony Rendon at his natural third base. Either Cabrera, who has experience at second, or Mets 2B Daniel Murphy would be an upgrade over 2B Danny Espinosa at second base.
UPDATE: 9:30 a.m.
The Astros are shopping RHP Scott Feldman around, but his pricey three-year contract is an obstacle, according to Heyman. Heyman also says the Orioles have inquired about RHP Bartolo Colon, but the Mets are unsure if they want to move him.
