In advance of Thursday's non-waiver trade deadline, the Astros and Marlins pulled off a six-player swap.

Headed to the Marlins are RHP Jarred Cosart, INF/OF Enrique Hernandez and OF Austin Wares. Headed to the Astros are 3B Colin Moran, CF Jake Marisnick, RHP Frances Martes and a round-A compensation pick in the 2015 draft.

The headliner is the 24-year-old Cosart, who's pitched to a 3.57 ERA (112 ERA+) in 176 1/3 innings across two big-league seasons. Elsewhere, Hernandez, age 22, owns a .729 OPS in 491 minor-league games and has fared better than that in limited action for Houston this season. Wates, 25, is a career .303/381/.415 hitter across five seasons in the minors.

On the Astros' side of things, Moran entered this season as a consensus top-100 prospect. He was the sixth-overall pick out of UNC in the 2013 draft. Marisnick -- another consensus top-100 guy -- has batted .279/.347/.444 in 2,051 minor-league plate appearances. He's 23. Finally, the 18-year-old Martes has a 3.74 ERA and 2.00 K/BB ratio in 79 1/3 minor-league innings.
