On Monday night, the Angels bested the cross-metro area Dodgers by a score of 5-0. In the course of that contest, Halos first baseman Albert Pujols and Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig seemed to develop a bit of a rivalry.

First, Puig announced his presence to the Angels by "finger-wagging" back and forth with Erick Aybar, who tested Puig's arm by straying off first base ...

Now, I have no idea whether the exchange with Aybar possibly stuck in Pujols's craw, but there it is just the same. I'll also submit into circumstantial evidence Puig's (presumably) accidental entanglement with Pujols earlier in the game ...

Later, Pujols taught young Puig the hazards of fielding a routine fly ball while lost in a state of presumption. Please enjoy ...

Well then. Rare is the first-to-second tag-up. Rarer still is the first-to-second tag-up that isn't even a close play at the bag.

Not long after that, this happened ...

After a brief exchange of words, Pujols walked back to the dugout after the final out of the inning, and as he did so he seemed to mock Puig's defensive stylings ...
