Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez has an oblique injury and is likely headed to the disabled list, per multiple reports, including the Dodgers official website. Ramirez is having an MRI on the injury that forced him from Friday's game, but manager Don Mattingly told reporters that it "doesn't sound good."

With Ramirez out of the lineup Saturday night, Miguel Rojas played shortstop. Expect the Dodgers to call up a middle infielder if and when Ramirez lands on the DL, with the top option probably being Darwin Barney.

Ramirez has seemingly been "day to day" almost all season, as he's dealt with issues to his thumb, right calf, right shoulder, right hand, left calf and left hand. He has played in 100 games and avoided the DL to this point, though.

The 30-year-old Ramirez is hitting .277/.367/.455 (132 OPS+) with 27 doubles, 12 homers, 58 RBI and 12 stolen bases this season. He'll be a free agent after the season.
