VIDEO: Home run overturned after fan pulls hat version of a Maier

For a quick minute, the Phillies had pulled to within one run of the Mets, 5-4, on a Chase Utley two-run homer in the ninth inning Monday afternoon.

Of course, there was some pretty blatant fan interference with a Phillies hat:

The call was correctly overturned, giving Utley a ground-rule double instead of a homer and the Phillies would end up losing 5-3. Obviously what hung in the balance wasn't quite as much --given that this is a regular-season game between two teams below .500, but it still called to memory Jeffrey Maier:

What if there were replay back then? Hmm ...
