UPDATE: Some news from MiLB.com writer Jake Seiner:

On Wednesday, Twins top prospect Byron Buxton was carted off the field after a scary outfield collision with right fielder and Double-A New Britain teammate Mike Kvasnicka.

Here's a look at the moments just before and after (Buxton is on the left in the first photo):

As for what happened, here's Don Amore of the Hartford Courant:

After reportedly lying on the field motionless for several minutes, Buxton left in an ambulance and was transported to a nearby hospital. Kvasnicka, per Amore, was able to walk away, although he also went to the hospital with Buxton.

Buxton, who was the consensus top prospect in baseball heading into the this season, was playing his first game at the Double-A level. He missed significant time earlier this year with a wrist injury.

We'll update his and Kvasnicka's conditions as soon as an announcement is made.
