Astros: Jesus Guzman was activated from the DL while Darin Downs was placed on the DL.
Cardinals: Mark Ellis was placed on the DL, with Greg Garcia coming up as a corresponding move.
Dodgers: Erisbel Arruebarrena was recalled from the minors and started Tuesday.
Indians: Scott Atchison was signed to a one-year extension. Ryan Raburn has landed on the DL, with Tyler Holt getting the call to the bigs as a corresponding move.
Orioles: Ubaldo Jimenez has been moved to the bullpen.
Padres: Rookie hurler Jesse Hahn was optioned to Double-A, which doesn't have anything to do with performance. They are limiting his innings (Corey Brock).
Pirates: Andrew McCutchen has been activated from the DL.
Brewers: Kyle Lohse is looking to return next week, with Matt Garza's return to come around the first week of September (brewers.com)
Cardinals: Yadier Molina hopes to start swinging a bat this week (Jim Hayes).
Cubs: Top prospect Kris Bryant returned to the lineup from a foot injury and doubled (cubs.com).
Dodgers: Hyun-Jin Ryu is playing catch, but there's still no timetable for his return (dodgers.com).
Giants: Catcher Hector Sanchez has another concussion and his season might be over (sfgiants.com).
Mariners: They are being patient with Michael Saunders in his rehab (mariners.com).
Mets: Jacob deGrom will start Saturday, in his return from the DL (Jared Diamond).
Padres: Andrew Cashner will return from the DL this coming weekend (padres.com).
Rangers: Alex Rios was a late scratch from the lineup due to a bruised thumb (dallasnews.com). Also, Ron Washington is backing off his hope that Yu Darvish is off the DL Aug. 25, so it sounds like the ace will be out for a bit longer (dallasnews.com).
Red Sox: Will Middlebrooks left Tuesday's game early with right hamstring tightness (weei.com).
Reds: Aroldis Chapman has a sore shoulder and is considered day to day.
Royals: Salvador Perez was back in the lineup after leaving Monday's game early.
Twins: Mike Pelfrey is still out for the season, but he's progressing well in his rehab (twinsbaseball.com).
Diamondbacks: One report indicates that Arizona is planning to keep Kirk Gibson as the manager for 2015.
Rusney Castillo: The field appears to be six serious teams and he could sign very soon, reports Jon Heyman.
Padres: They announced the hire of Don Welke as vice president of scouting operations, bringing him over from the Rangers.
