Braves lefty Mike Minor took a no-hit bid into the eighth inning against the Reds in Cincinnati on Friday night. Reds center fielder Billy Hamilton broke it up with a bloop single to shallow center with two outs.

Minor, 26, entered the night with a 5.26 ERA on the season. He was trying to become the first Braves pitcher to throw a no-hitter since Kent Mercker in 1994.
